Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said, we would contest next elections on the basis of performance and after completing five-year tenure.
Addressing a huge public meeting at Jarranwala in District Faisalabad, The Prime Minister said democratic government has completed four years by observing the policy of reconciliation. He said peoples party is a movement to help emancipate the down trodden and power has never been our target. The Prime Minister made it clear that gone are the days when workers used to render sacrifices, now only leadership would do it.
He said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto preferred death over compromise with the dictator and this principle was followed by her legendary daughter Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Referring to the slogans of change and revolution, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said only peoples party could do it as we are following the mission of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Announcing record developmental projects for Faisalabad division, the prime minister said rupees ten billion have already been spent in the area. He announced an information technology university for Jarranwala and rupees three hundred million to provide high speed internet facility at the community centers. The Prime minister said Multan-Faisalabad motorway will link the area to major cities as well as federal capital, ushering in a new era of development in Central Punjab.
