Prime Minster Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said, Peoples Party was founded on the basis of Roti, Kapra Aur Makan and the democratic government is actively working to fulfill this slogan.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of a residential project on Kuri road Islamabad, the Prime Minister said, the state is responsible to provide accommodation to its citizens and the present government is trying to fulfill this responsibility. The Prime Minister said, initiating projects with public-private partnership is the priority of the government and it will also provide houses to low-income groups of the society.
Federal minister for housing and works Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat said under the Kurri road housing scheme houses will be provided to the federal government officers from grade twenty and above on their retirement. Earlier, the prime minister laid the foundation stone of the housing scheme. The project is being implemented by Pakistan housing authority for which over 90 acres of land has been provided. Construction of houses will start from next month after completion of the basic infrastructure.
