Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said the country was passing through a critical phase and in such situation talks of division of provinces will open another pandora’s box.
Talking to journalists in Islamabad the Prime Minister made it clear that the Peoples Party has decided against the creation of new provinces. The Prime Minister said Pakistan wants cordial relations with all its neighbours including India. Talking about his possible meeting with Indian Prime Minister in Sharm-Ul-Sheikh, the prime minister said in the meeting he would express his desire of friendly relations between the two countries. About Malakand operation Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said Pak army and the nation have rendered great sacrifice for clearing the area of miscreants. He said the government would take all necessary measures to rid the area of terrorists. For this purpose cantonment is being established in swat and capacity building of police and civil administration in Malakand division is underway. About NATO operation in Afghanistan the Prime Minister said the French delegation has assured that the militants will not be allowed to enter Pakistani area.
